Shiatsu is a therapeutic bodywork which combines ancient eastern healthcare systems with the benefits of massage. The practitioner uses finely-tuned intuition to help relieve presenting conditions, restores the equilibrium between the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of the individual and supports the client to achieve long-term well-being.
The techniques used include gentle manipulations, pressure with the palms of the hands, elbows and knees as well as point work with fingers and thumbs. The sensations you may feel during and after the treatment are deep relaxation, inner calm and renewed vitality.
Shiatsu can be enjoyed as a rejuvenating treatment and help support you through the stresses and strains of life but it is also extremely effective in treating specific symptoms and conditions including:

shiatsu is complementary to and enhances the positive effects of all other systems of health care and healing. Shiatsu is usually given on a floor-level futon but can also be received in a chair. Please wear loose comfortable, preferably cotton clothing.
