Frequently Asked Questions
I hope any queries you may have are answered here but if not or you wish to know more, please do contact me.
Covid-19: Health and Safety
I will try to keep this succinct here but the following is the most important information you need to know (I can send more detailed information on request).
Guidance is constantly changing with regard to the use of PPE and I will update this page as soon as information becomes available.
The day before your session I will send you an email with Covid-19 and consultation requirement related questions. Please respond to this prior to your session. If this is your first treatment with me, I will email a client questionnaire at the time of booking to be completed and returned before the session date.
Before departing for your appointment please ensure you:
Remove all jewellery, watches or fit-bits
Ideally, only wear the clothing you intend to receive treatment in
Visit the loo
Wash your hands throughly
Only bring absolutely essential items with you (keys, mobile etc.)
Please bring your own bottle of drinking water as I am currently unable to provide this (Of course I will not refuse in an emergency).
On arrival go straight to the practice studio (details will be given the day before). Please wear your face mask for coming in to the studio.
Please be assured that all touch point areas of the treatment room, door handles, surfaces, chairs and floor are sanitised between each client visit. I also change the couch covers and sanitise the wipeable cushions, (which are also covered with couch roll during treatment).
Your temperature will be taken with a non-contact digital thermometer (if the reading is 37.8℃ or above the session can't go ahead).
I will be wearing a visor and face mask (I will be smiling underneath it!). I won't be wearing an apron as I change clothing between clients.
I will apply hand sanitiser before the session starts.
During a treatment you don't need to wear a mask when lying face down as it's harder to breathe plus the air gets sent back up the side towards me! I do require you to wear a face covering when lying face up so I will provide you with a cloth or you can put your mask on, whichever you prefer. I will not be doing any treatment on your face.
The treatment will last 45-50 minutes.
On departing, please ensure you take all your belongings with you and you wear your face mask. In order to limit touch points, I will open the door for you.
Payment is by bank transfer only (let me know if you need the details). If you are feeling ill on the day of your session you will not be charged but please do give as much warning as possible.
How many sessions am I likely to need?
This depends on what you are seeking help with and your goals. If you are requiring help with a particular condition or issue, this may well take more than one session to address but each person's response varies - for some, changes can happen quickly whereas for others, it takes more time. I will give you an honest opinion about how many sessions I think you may need and the frequency after your initial session, as this will have given me the opportunity to assess how you/your body is likely to respond. There's no insistence and I don't do a hard sell but by providing you with the information, you can then make an informed choice.
How frequently should I have treatment?
Again, this depends on your goals, what you are aiming to achieve and how quickly you are responding to treatment. Generally speaking, I recommend no more than a month between sessions as this will give us the opportunity to build on the momentum achieved from your previous session. Certain conditions may require being treated more frequently but I can best assess that at our first (or subsequent) session.
What should I wear for my session?
Leisurewear is ideal but certainly something comfortable and preferably in natural fibres. You might also want to consider layers as your body temperature can change during the session. No nylon tights please!
