The IN-BREATH is nurturing, nourishing, replenishing, revitalising and light.
The OUT-BREATH is releasing, surrendering and letting go. Breathing can change your perspective by:

Most of us only use a third or our lungs' capacity on a day-to-day basis. Have you ever noticed that if you take a few deep breaths when you are tired you instantly feel much brighter?
Taken further, breathwork is a fabulously simple tool which accesses areas in our bodies and energy field where we may have suppressed emotions or have created barriers through our life experiences, which can manifest in a variety of physical or emotional symptoms. By using a very simple breathing technique, we can breathe into the body as a whole or specific areas with an equally simple intention of allowing our body to expand on the in-breath, and release and let go on the out. Breathing in this way works at a deep cellular level, animating what is being held or suppressed and bringing awareness to the original cause. It helps to quickly release these blocks and the associated pain resulting in a greater sense of calm and renewed vitality. I often incorporate an aspect of breathwork within a treatment as it is a fantastic tool to help bring about rapid change. Breathwork can also be experienced in its own right either during a one-to-one session or in a workshop scenario. |
